About Living on Air
More than just a place to stay, it's a space to connect, create, and feel at home
What is Living on Air?
Living on Air is more than just a place to stay, it's a space to connect, create, and feel at home. Located on the stunning coastline of Kertasari, Sumbawa (Indonesia), it offers the perfect mix of comfort, community, and nature. Whether you're staying for a few nights or settling in for months, you'll find everything you need to live and work from paradise.
Born as the sister project to Working on Air, Living on Air is a new take on how we live, work, and connect. Think of it as a hybrid space, part hotel, part coworking hub. Made for people who want more freedom, more flexibility, and more meaning in where they stay and how they work.

Our Mission
To build spaces that inspire productivity, connection, and conscious living. We want to make remote work not just possible, but enjoyable, grounded, and communal. We believe you don't have to choose between working hard and living fully. You can do both, in good company, and in beautiful places.
Our unique blend of oceanside living with reliable connectivity creates an environment where digital nomads can thrive while enjoying the natural beauty of Sumbawa. We're also committed to creating opportunities for the local community, building bridges that allow them to showcase their skills and test new business ideas.
Our Values
At Living on Air, we're guided by a set of core values that shape everything we do:
- Flexibility: We welcome short stays, long stays, and everything in between.
- Connection: We create intentional spaces where conversations flow naturally.
- Purposeful Design: Every element of Living on Air is created to inspire calm, focus, and creativity.
- Soft Sustainability: We're not off-grid, but we care about our surroundings, our impact, and our future.
- Community Engagement: We actively work with the local community to identify problems and create value together.
We strive to build a community where work flows naturally and life unfolds beautifully. Living on Air is not just a space, but a state of being - a lifestyle where conversations over coffee turn into collaborations, where you can take a meeting with a view, and where your next big idea might come while watching the sunset.

Social Impact & Community Engagement
Living on Air started as a sustainable business by identifying the needs of the local industry. We collaborate closely with the Kertasari community, working together to identify challenges and create mutual value. Currently, we're focusing on three main projects:
- Waste Management: Introducing sustainable waste management practices to the local community, including the creation of a waste bank that helps reduce landfill waste.
- Seaweed Farming: Working with locals to overcome seaweed cultivation challenges due to seawater conditions, and developing high-value products from seaweed harvests.
- Woven Preservation: Supporting traditional craft by exploring how to transform woven fabrics into practical, marketable products.
At Living on Air, we're building more than just a coliving and coworking space - we're creating a community where people can stay, work, connect, and belong. Our vision is a place where lives can unfold naturally, where work flows easily, and where both locals and travelers can grow together. Whether you're seeking a productive workspace, a rejuvenating getaway, or a place to call home while exploring Sumbawa, Living on Air welcomes you to our little slice of paradise.
